Can't Cook Won't Cook

Remember Can’t Cook Won’t Cook - the highly popular BBC1cooking show?

Well, we are holding our version own of Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook in the McConnell Youth Complex on the weekend of our 63rd anniversary – Saturday 15th February at 9.30am – an event which certainly has the potential to outdo any previous shows.

The star chefs are… wait for it…Pastor David Purse, Pastor McConnell and our visiting guest speaker that weekend, Pastor Nick Cassidy from Cork. They will be attempting to create a huge “dessert” which, if it goes “pear-shaped” should be well worth the entrance fee of just £5.00. It may seem “easy as pie” to make a simple dessert but don’t bank on it - anything could happen!

Please note: if you intend going, it’s a ticket only event, which includes a light breakfast and refreshments. Local chef Stephen Jeffers will be presenting the event, and there’s a prize for the winner, but who will it be? Just like the original show, the proof will be in the pudding!

Tickets are limited, so please visit the information desk directly after the service for your chance to see Can’t Cook Won’t Cook Whitewell style.
