We are really looking forward to Christmas at Whitewell this year.
Christmas will be different for us all this year but even with coronavirus bubbles and other restrictions, the reason for the season remains. Jesus came as a baby, born of a virgin – not just a prophet, not just an example, not just a good person, but the very Son of God has come to earth to provide a means of salvation.
This year, due to the circumstances, we have a number of changes to our Christmas schedule. This is to allow enough time between services for our building to be cleaned and made safe.
Sunday 20th December we will have two services in the building, with a full cleaning happening between the two services.
Sunday 20th at 6:45pm will be our carol service. It will be a cut-down programme, nevertheless we’ll still be able to enjoy worshipping together as we sing carols, enjoy music ministry and hear a closing message by Pastor David Purse.
Monday 21st December at 8pm will be our normal prayer meeting broadcast, online-only. Pastor Shaw will be taking the meeting.
Wednesday 23rd December our Bible study will NOT take place.
Thursday 24th December at 6pm will be a special 1 hour Christmas Eve service. Join us in the building and online as we hear the Christmas Bible passages read, worship with carols from the Well Band, and hear a Christmas message for all the family by Pastor Stephen Campbell.
Christmas Morning at 10am will be a special online broadcast, with James McConnell bringing us a Christmas word.
Our Monday 28th December and Wednesday 30th December there are no Services.
On Thursday 31st December. There is no watchnight service
We plan to return on Sunday 3rd Jan 2021 at 11:00am in the building and online.
If there are any further changes due to Northern Ireland Legislation we will update this page.
