After 12 years as captain of our Girls Brigade, Lynn Meldrum has decided to step down and retire as GB Captain.
We want to pay tribute to all the years of service she has given to the GB here at Whitewell.
Stepping up to the role of Captain is Melissa Meldrum, Lynn's daughter. Melissa has held several senior roles within the GB district and within GB NI, and we're delighted she has agreed to become our new GB captain.
Of course GB is not a one-person operation - far from it. And we want to thank all who help and lead within our GB - all our officers, sub-officers and helpers, without which none of what they do would be possible.
Lynn remains in our GB for at least another year, which will aid the transition and help melissa as she picks up her new role. Our prayers are with them all.
