MEMORIAL SERVICE

On 16th October, our Sunday Night service is a special memorial service for those from our church family who passed away during covid.

During that two-year period, many funerals were held with limited numbers attending, and people who had been part of the Whitewell family for both short and long periods of time could not be remembered in the way that we would have wanted. These weren’t necessarily people whose cause of death was linked to covid, but all those who died in this period.

So that night we’re going to take time to thank God for the lives that they lived. Many tonight are in glory, and we want to give thanks for the lives they led and the impact they had.

People have already given names, and some of them have brought photos of loved ones, and they will each be mentioned during the service.

Pastor David Purse will be bringing the closing word. Our church worship band will be ministering, along with other musical items.

Although it is a night of reflection, a night to remember, we can also say - thank God we also sorrow not as those who have no hope [1 Thessalonians 4]. So the night is also a time to celebrate and give thanks for those who have fought the good fight,  finished their course, and kept the faith [2 Timothy 4]

Join us for this special night at 6:45pm.
