Whitewell Christmas Services 2023

This year, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are on a Sunday, and as a church, we plan to be open for business on both holiday Sundays.

Our Christmas programme begins on 15th December at 8pm, with a special night of music and drama from the Tabernacle choir and drama team, and that is followed by our Carol service on Sunday 17th December at 6.45pm. It’s always a special night and we’re looking forward to many taking part in it.

The week leading up to Christmas, our midweek services are as normal, but from Christmas Eve we’ve lots of changes to our schedule.

With Christmas Eve being on a Sunday, we’re holding our Christmas Eve services, both Sunday morning and Sunday night, but our Sunday night service moves to the earlier time of 6pm, and there will be no tea following the service.

There’s no service on Christmas Day or Boxing day, and but we resume on Wednesday 27th December.

The following Sunday is, of course, 31st December, and again we’re altering the times of our services to allow us to bring in the new year at our evening service. Our Sunday morning service is at the normal time 11.00am, but our Sunday night service will move to the later time of 9pm.  There’s a break in the middle where there’s tea and coffee, and if you need to leave or want to join at this point you have the opportunity to do so. We’ll then begin again at 10.45pm and bring in the new year in worship!

There’s no service on New Year’s Day but our Wednesday night service will be on as normal at 8pm on 3rd January.

Please remember that our Pastors are still available over this period, so if you do need Pastoral help please still get in touch.
