Harvest Celebration Monday Night 7th October Raises £2,000
On Monday evening many of our members enjoyed a great night of food, fun and fellowship at our Harvest celebration and we even raised £2,000 for our local NI hospice.
Recently some of our faithful young people tied the knot.
On Saturday 28th September, Paul Cranston and Leanne Rainey became Mr and Mrs Cranston before enjoying a beautiful reception at the Culloden Hotel, Holywood. Paul has been a monumental volunteer for our media team for many years, and he and Leanne, who both looked stunning on their special day, are a great asset to the church.
It’s not too late to get your child involved in the Junior Choir! Our Junior Choir, led by Melissa Meldrum and her team, has already started in September but all children are still welcome to come along and join. Registration forms are available from our information desk after the service. Held on Friday evenings from 6-7pm the Junior Choir is always a wonderful blessing. Please return your forms to reception or see Melissa for more information.
Our popular and successful Genesis Course for new converts or anyone saved for a relatively short period recommences next Wednesday 2 October. Held in our Magee Room, the course lasts for twelve weeks finishing just before Christmas. If you are interested in attending this year’s course, please contact Pastor Nigel Begley.
American gospel group the Roberts will be singing on Monday evening 14 October.
They always sing with passion for the Lord and you will enjoy their version of Southern Gospel with a country feel! Mark Roberts was in the original “Roberts Family” that started singing as a group in 1971 and travelled full time all over the United States. Mark is a talented musician, singer and pastor.
Our Well Conference WALKING IN THE SPIRIT takes place on Saturday 26th October at 10am. Pastor James McConnell, who needs no introduction and Pastor Mark Ryan, Senior Minister at Birmingham City Church, are the speakers with music provided by the Well Band. Pastor Mark has led the fellowship at BCC since 2009 and has over thirty years’ experience in Christian work.
It was a special day yesterday for the caretaker of our youth centre, John McMurray and his wife Laura as they dedicated their beautiful baby Sadie Charlotte to the Lord. Little Sadie certainly won the heart of Pastor David Purse, who didn't appear to want to hand her back to her proud parents. We wish John, Laura and Sadie every blessing in the future.
Pastor David Ham and his wife Tara have sent their appreciation to the leadership at Whitewell and the people for the encouragement they received during their short stay in Belfast. Pastor David is also incredibly indebted to Pastor David Purse and the leadership for the opportunity to preach for five nights at Whitewell.
